“Up to 80% of people may be deficient in magnesium. As the fourth most abundant mineral in your body, it’s essential for building strong bones, DNA and genetic materials. It’s important to consume a diet rich in fresh organic vegetables to optimize your magnesium levels.”

The Importance of Magnesium

There is a strong link between magnesium and health. If you have metabolic syndrome or elevated blood sugar, blood pressure, and/or weight gain, chances are, you are deficient in magnesium. Magnesium is one of the most important minerals needed by the body to process our food, build strong bones, increase and maintain immunity, and sustain our DNA and genetic materials of the body.

The muscles of the body require magnesium for proper condition. When muscles are contracted and lack proper levels of magnesium, this can cause pain and sometimes serious even injury to the muscles, and consequently, misalignment of the joints and spine.

Poor diet, lack of sleep, and daily stress can decrease magnesium in the body. A healthy lifestyle with good nutrition, including fresh organic vegetables and good supplementation of magnesium, can decrease our risk of illness.

A few symptoms of magnesium deficiency are:

  • Muscle cramps
  • Joint pain
  • Constipation
  • Headaches

What Can You Do?

Eating a diet high in fresh organic vegetables that are high in fiber and water will give the body the minerals for good health. When under stress and ill health, supplementation is suggested.
